Director Elections and Voting

Nobles Cooperative Electric held its first conference-style annual meeting on June 10, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Follow this link to hear election results and the business meeting. Here is the annual meeting transcript.

Your cooperative is a democratically-controlled business. Nobles Cooperative Electric is governed by local people with your best interests at heart. They are elected by you, the member-owner, at each annual meeting to serve three-year terms. Your vote in the annual board election is your voice in your cooperative, a chance to weigh in on leaders who represent you and your interests.

The election process reflects one of the Seven Cooperative Principles - democratic member control. Members may vote by absentee ballot or in person at the membership's annual meeting. If you would like to vote by absentee ballot, please contact our office at 800-776-0517 or email us at nce@noblesce.com. Relevant information about this meeting and the annual report appear in the Current Matters newsletter and bill inserts.

The first call for nominations is published in a bill insert in your October electric bill. If you are interested in serving on the nominating committee or the board of directors, please give Julie Baumgard a call at 800-776-0517 or email her at nce@noblesce.com.

The nominating committee (three-year terms) develops the slate of candidates for positions on the board of directors and next year's nominating committee.
